Youth Intro Classes
Hockey Tot – $22 per class
- Age: 3 - 6
- Required gear: Hockey helmet with cage, hockey stick, hockey gloves, elbow pads, shin guards, and any jersey/socks. Chest protectors and hockey pants are not required.
Hockey Tot classes are an ideal starting point for children ages 3–6 with looking to start working on Hockey skills with the intent of playing. The skater progresses through levels 1–3, helping them develop hockey skating skills, with each level becoming gradually more challenging. Designed for children six and under, the program focuses on developing skating skills in a fun and encouraging environment.
Hockey Tot 1: Wednesdays 5:15pm or Saturdays 10:45am
Hockey Tot 2: Wednesdays 5:45pm or Saturdays 11:15am

Shott's Tots – $299
- Ages: 5 - 11
- Duration: 45 minutes on the Ice
Shott's Tots is a Learn to Play hockey program designed for kids ages 4-10 who are new to the sport and ready to take their first strides on the ice.
The program teaches foundational hockey skills—skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting—through a development-first curriculum led by trained coaches who focus on building confidence and creating a fun, supportive environment for players to learn in.
All equipment is provided for new players, and sessions take place at rinks across Arizona.

6U - Mini Mites – $828
Practices held on Tuesdays, Games on Saturday
- Age: 5-6
- Evaluations TBD After evaluation, league coordinators will finalize rosters and you will receive an email notification of your players’ placement.
- Requirements: Completed Hockey 1 or Hockey Tot 1. Full gear is required. All players must be registered through DASH and have a current season USA Hockey Membership.
- Fall/Winter League: September - March
- Spring/Summer: March-August
Developmental Hockey League
A cross-ice development program that allows players to get more ice time (twice a week), more puck touches (a result of cross ice system) and gain game experience. The cross-ice program consists of two 1-hour ice slots per week. The first (on Monday’s) focuses primarily on game play and the second (on Saturday’s) focuses on skill development. No stats are kept.
League Includes: 23 game season including playoffs. Every player will make a team.
Jersey and Socks: New jerseys will be handed out only to those who are brand new to our program. Every player will receive socks. If you have an AZ Ice jersey and it is too small, please let your league coordinator know who will then advise the youth hockey director Jeremy Goltz.
All teams are coached by USA Hockey educated volunteers, who have cleared a background screening.
Please know the days and times are subject to change.

Open Hockey is available for the players that would like to come out and join an easy going pick up game. In the case of a small group, all open hockey turns into a Stick and Puck atmosphere. To register, call the Rink 24 hours before the specified game.

The B League is a fast-paced division for players with elite, junior, college, or professional experience. The C League is designed for intermediate players with solid skills and recreational experience. The D League is intended for developing players with some organized experience and basic skating ability. The E League is ideal for newer players who are still building their skills and gaining confidence in game situations. The Beginner League is perfect for those new to hockey, focusing on learning the fundamentals in a supportive and low-pressure environment. Sticktime
Sticktime – $17.50

Stick and Puck sessions are available for skaters to come out and work on their stick handling and skating drills. This is the perfect atmosphere to work on skating, stick handling and anything else you desire. Games/ scrimmages will be prohibited on this ice, strictly practice sessions. Sticktimes fill up quickly and we strongly recommend signing up ahead of time on Dash.
